Stop employing construction as harassment tactics to get renters to leave buildings.

Abide by all NYC safety and building requirements, including:
Having a tenant protection plan in place BEFORE construction begins.
Procuring proper permitting for any work being completed.
Cleaning shared spaces and removing hazardous material on a continuous basis throughout construction.

Provide for the safety of tenants, including:
Maintaining functional self-locking doors at property entrances.
Maintaining systems for consistent trash removal and pest control.
Ensure buildings meet fire safety guidelines including smoke detectors, alarm systems, fire extinguishers, and self-locking doors.
Clear open violations in buildings in a timely manner according to their urgency.

Provide equal service
Provide equal service and attention to market-rate and rent-stabilized tenants.

Timely & reasonable renewals
Provide lease renewals in a timely manner with reasonable rent increases in line with recommendations of the Rent Guidelines Board.

Provide tenants with information on your organization structure and ownership of their building.
